Paul Pogba scored twice as Manchester United made it two wins on the bounce with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Huddersfield at Old Trafford this afternoon.

United started well and broke the deadlock midway through the first half when Nemanja Matic was on hand to tap home from close range after Victor Lindelof’s header was saved.

The hosts continued to dominate for much of the game but just after David De Gea had made a superb save the keep it at 1-0, Man Utd went up the other end to double their lead.

It was a really well worked goal as Pogba fired in off the post following some excellent work Ander Herrera and the French international wrapped-up the three points with a wonderful strike from 20 yards to make it 3-0 in the 78th minute.

Huddersfield grabbed a consolation late on through Mathias Jorgensen but United won 3-1 meaning Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now won his first two games in charge since replacing Jose Mourinho and Man Utd are now five points off the top four in sixth place in the table.
