By on January 3, 2019

Liverpool can tighten their grip at the top of the table with a positive result when they take on Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium this evening.

Pep Guardiola has recalled Leroy Sane in attack but Kevin De Bruyne is only deemed fit enough for a place on the bench. Danilo Keeps his place ahead of Kyle Walker while John Stones coming in to the defence.

As for Liverpool, they’ve recalled James Milner and Jordan Henderson in midfield with Georginio Wijnaldum keeping his place. As expected, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane once again support Roberto Firmino in attack with Xherdan Shaqiri dropping to the bench.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Man City

Ederson, Danilo, Stones, Kompany, Laporte, Fernandinho, Bernardo, Silva, Sterling, Aguero, Sane

Subs: Muric, Walker, Gündogan, De Bruyne, Mahrez, Otamendi, Jesus

Liverpool
