[Video Goals] Blackpool 0-3 Arsenal: Willock & Iwobi score as Gunners progress

By on January 5, 2019

Arsenal eased in to the fourth round of the FA Cup with a routine 3-0 victory over Blackpool at Bloomfield Road this evening.

Arsenal began well and after spurning a couple of excellent chances we finally broke the deadlock when Joe Willock headed home from 5 yards out after Aaron Ramsey saw his free-kick come back off the upright in the 11th minute.

Blackpool were giving as good as they got but it was Arsenal who were creating the more clear-cut opportunities and we doubled our lead in the 37th minute. A wonderful team move led to Carl Jenkinson crossing from the right and Eddie Nketiah deflected it in to the path of Willock who made no mistake at the far post.

The second half was played at a slower pace as we protected our lead but we eventually grabbed a third when Alex Iwobi tapped home after Ramsey’s shot was well saved – although replay’s showed Iwobi may have been offside.

Arsenal eased to a 3-0 victory to book their place in the hat for the fourth round draw.
