Gonzalo Higuain scored twice as Chelsea climbed back up to fourth with a resounding 5-0 victory over Huddersfield Town at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

The Argentinean international opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a superb finish from a tight angle as he lashed home after being found by a wonderful pass from N’Golo Kante.

Chelsea doubled their lead in first half stoppage time when Eden Hazard scored from the penalty spot after Cesar Azpilicueta was fouled in the area so the Blues were in total control at the break.

Hazard then made it 3-0 in the 66th minute as he rounded the goalkeeper to score from an acute angle before Higuain made it 4-0 with a superb 25-yard curler in to the top corner.

Chelsea completed the rout with a deflected David Luiz header late on to make it 5-0 which moves them three points clear of Arsenal ahead of their trip to Man City on Sunday afternoon.
