Arsenal eased in to the last-16 of the Europa League after beating BATE Borisov 3-0 at the Emirates this evening to secure a 3-1 aggregate victory.

Arsenal started on the front foot and opened the scoring inside the first four minutes when Zakhar Volkov put through his own net following some good work from Pierre-Emerick down the right wing.

We dominated possession but had to wait until the 39th minute before we doubled our lead with Shkodran Mustafi powering home a fine header from a lovely Granit Xhaka corner to make it 2-0.

The victory was secured midway through the second half when Sokratis came off the bench to head home from a 60th minute corner to make it 3-0 meaning BATE needed to score twice to progress on away goals.

There was to be no late drama as Arsenal eased through the closing stages of the game to book our place in the last-16 of the Europa League with a 3-1 aggregate victory.
