Romelu Lukaku scored twice as injury-hit Manchester United secured a vital 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this evening.

After missing a decent chance earlier in the game, Romelu Lukaku broke the deadlock midway through the first half as the Belgian international bent one in to the far corner of the net for 1-0 in the 33rd minute after being set-up by Luke Shaw.

United doubled their lead shortly after half-time as Victor Lindelof headed back across goal following a 52nd minute corner and Lukaku was on hand to hook it home with a fine finish to make it 2-0 to the visitors.

Joel Ward pulled one back for Palace midway through the second half when he headed home to make it 1-2 in the 66th minute after some great work by Jeffrey Schlupp down the wing.

Palace pushed to find an equaliser, however, United wrapped-up the three points when Ashley Young made it 3-1 in the 83rd minute to seal a huge win for the Manchester giants and ensure they remain just one point off fourth-placed Arsenal – who thrashed Bournemouth 5-1.

I definitly think Romelu Lukaku is up there. Maybe even one of the best. Just because he has been of the last year does not mean he is bad. Remember the time before he got into his bad time. One of the top goalscorers of the Premier League with 30+ goals. People are just too fast drawing conclussions about players that they end up getting a bad reuputation. The amount of runs this guy takes and goal-chances he creates makes him very underrated. It should not be a suprise that he scores or misses. We all have bad times and it is okay, this only makes him better after realizing his mistakes on the pitch. United also has a new manager which does not like the defensivly tactic and instead a more balanced one. This will put Lukaku in a better position and you can clearly see him score.
