Maurizio-Sarri-chelsea

Chelsea will be looking to secure a healthy lead when they take on Dynamo Kyiv in their Europa League last-16 first leg clash at Stamford Bridge this evening.

Maurizio Sarri has made plenty of changes to his side with Davide Zappacosta coming in to the defence along with Marcos Alonso as Cesar Azpilicueta and Emerson Palmeiri make way. David Luiz starts alongside Andreas Christensen in the middle of defence with Antonio Rudiger missing out.

Mateo Kovacic comes in to join Jorginho and Ross Barkley in midfield with N’Golo Kante getting a rest. Eden Hazard is given a breather ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Wolves while Gonzalo Higuain also drop to the bench with Pedro and Willian supporting Olivier Giroud in attack.

Youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi must therefore make-do with a place among the substitutes. Kepa keeps his place between the sticks with Willy Caballero named on the bench.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Chelsea

Kepa, Zappacosta, Christensen, Luiz, Alonso, Barkley, Jorginho, Kovacic, Pedro, Giroud, Willian.
