Eden Hazard scored a stoppage time stunner to salvage Chelsea a 1-1 draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

It was a slow start in west London as neither side were able to create many clear-cut goal-scoring opportunities and while Chelsea dominated possession, they struggled to break through a stubborn Wolves defence.

The visitors then stunned the hosts as they took a surprise lead early in the second half with Raul Jimenez bundling the ball home under a challenge from Cesar Azpilicueta in the 56th minute to make it 0-1.

Chelsea brought on Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi to try and find an equaliser but they continued to come up against a well drilled Wolves side that looked to be on course to taking home all three points from the Bridge.

However, Hazard stepped-up to rescue Chelsea in the second minute of stoppage time as the Belgian international fired home a stunning effort low into the bottom corner from the edge of the area to make it 1-1.

The result means Chelsea wasted a golden opportunity to put some pressure on Arsenal and Manchester United ahead of their clash at the Emirates this afternoon as they now sit level on points with the Gunners and one point adrift of United.
