Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser has opened the door to a potential move to Arsenal after admitting interest from such a ‘massive club’ is flattering.

Gunners boss Unai Emery is expected to be busy in the transfer market again this summer as he continues to rebuild the squad he inherited from Arsene Wenger and a new wide attacker is likely to be on the agenda.

Danny Welbeck is tipped to leave the Emirates when his contract expires at the end of the season while Denis Suarez has struggled to establish himself since joining on loan from Barcelona in January so we’re unlikely to take-up the option to make his move permanent.

The Mirror reported earlier this week that Arsenal chiefs have identified Fraser as a prime transfer target after Emery’s scouts have given glowing reports on the 25-year-old’s performances this season.

Fraser came through the youth ranks at Aberdeen but joined Bournemouth in 2013 and has established himself as a key player under Eddie Howe this campaign with 36 appearances to his name so far. However, the attacker has now fuelled speculation linking him with a move to north London.

When quizzed about the reported interest from Arsenal during an interview with Sky Sports News, Fraser admitted he’s flattered to have caught the attention of such a ‘massive club’ but insists he will continue playing his game and see what happens at the end of the season.

Fraser told Sky Sports:

“I’m not going to lie, it’s very nice. It means you are are doing something right,”

“They are a huge club, a massive club. When you see your name thrown around you always think to yourself that you are a Bournemouth player and you try to do well. I’m not going to lie, you do feel good, especially when it’s a massive club.”

“I will just keep doing what I am doing, try to enjoy myself and try to win the game for my team. What will be, will be.”

The Scottish international has been one of the most creative players in the Premier League this season with 7 goals and 11 assists while he’s created more chances for his team mates than any other player.

Fraser is known for his pace and technical ability so he’d be a solid addition to the Arsenal squad and we could sign him at a reasonable price as he’ll have just one year remaining on his contract this summer.
