Liverpool will be looking to climb back to the top of the Premier League table with a win over Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium this evening.

Jurgen Klopp has made two changes from the side that beat Tottenham last weekend with Fabinho and Naby Keita coming in for James Milner and Jordan Henderson in midfield. Georginio Wijnaldum therefore keeps his place in the middle of the park.

Virgil van Dijk is fit to start against his former side despite picking up an ankle knock against Spurs while Joel Matip keeps his place ahead of Dejan Lovren alongside the Dutch international. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson make-up the back four.

Mohamed Salah once again lines-up in attack while Roberto Firmino leads the line up front after scoring the opener last time out. Sadio Mane will be looking to continue his excellent recent form as he lines-up alongside Salah and Firmino in attack once again.

Daniel Sturridge misses out on a place in the matchday squad as Divock Origi is preffered on the bench. Xherdan Shaqiri and Alberto Moreno are also named among the subs along with Lovren, Milner, Henderson and Simon Mignolet.

As for Southampton, Shane Long returns to start up front while Vestergaard starts in defence after recovering from a knock.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Southampton

Gunn, Valery, Bednarek, Yoshida, Vestergaard, Bertrand, Romeu, Ward-Prowse, Hojbjerg, Redmond, Long.

Subs: McCarthy, Stephens, Targett, Armstrong, Gallagher, Sims, Austin

Liverpool

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Keita, Mane, Salah, Firmino.
