Liverpool have received a major fitness boost as Mohamed Salah has been declared fit for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Wolves at Anfield, according to the Evening Standard.

Salah was stretchered off during last weekend’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Newcastle United at St James’ Park after suffering concussion following a clash with goalkeeper Martin Dubravka in the second half.

Due to guidelines put in place for head injuries, the Egyptian international was forced to miss Liverpool’s sensational 4-0 victory over Barcelona on Tuesday night that booked their place in the final of the Champions League.

Jurgen Klopp said he was hopeful Salah would be able to return to action this weekend and the Evening Standard claims the attacker has now been declared fit for Liverpool’s final league game of the season against Wolves on Sunday afternoon.

Liverpool welcome Nuno Espirito Santo’s side to Anfield sitting one point behind Manchester City so they know they have to collect all three points if they’re to stand a chance of pipping the Citizens to the Premier League title.

Therefore, it will come as a major boost to have their top goal-scorer available for the game and Salah will also be desperate to get himself on the scoresheet on Sunday as bids to reclaim the Golden Boot.

Salah currently holds a two-goal advantage over team-mate Sadio Mane, Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and City’s Sergio Aguero – who’re all on 20 goals – so the Reds forward will be keen to secure back-to-back Golden Boots this weekend.

However, Liverpool could be without their first choice left-back against Wolves as the Evening Standard says Andrew Robertson remains a doubt after picking up a calf injury during a clash with Luis Suarez against Barcelona in midweek.

The newspaper says the Scottish international is expected to be available to face Tottenham in the Champions League final on June 1st but a late decision will be made over his availability this weekend.

Klopp will be praying Robertson is fit as he’s been one of Liverpool’s best players this season. James Milner could deputise at left-back if the Scotland skipper is ruled out while Alberto Moreno is also pushing for a recall.
