Follow all the action from the final day of the 2018/19 Premier League season as Liverpool battle Man City for the title and the top 4 fight is settled

Welcome to Football-Talk’s LIVE BLOG coverage of the final day of the 2018/19 Premier League season!

It promises to be another exciting afternoon of top flight football with arguably the best title race in Premier League history to be decided on the final day as Manchester City and Liverpool’s thrilling battle comes to a head.

Jurgen Klopp’s side led the way for much of the campaign and at one stage held a seven point lead over City but the defending champions refused to go away and have gone on a sensational winning run to close the gap.

Since losing to Newcastle United at St James’ Park on January 29, City have won their last 13 league games on the spin and head into the season finale sitting one point ahead of Liverpool. Therefore, Pep Guardiola’s side have it in their own hands and know they can wrap up another title if they beat Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex.

However, Liverpool are hot on their heels and will be ready to capatalise on any slip-up by City on the south coast when they host Wolves at Anfield. If City lose or draw at Brighton, victory over Wolves would secure Liverpool their first Premier League title.

There is also work left to be done for Champions League finalists Tottenham on the final day as they need a point at home to Everton to guarantee a top-four finish but even defeat is highly unlikely to see them drop out of the Champions League places.

Fifth placed Arsenal are three points behind with a -8 goal difference so it would require Tottenham to lose to Everton and Arsenal to beat Burnley at Turf Moor with an eight-goal swing to see Unai Emery’s side snatch fourth.

Chelsea currently sit third in the table but are just one point above Spurs so Mauricio Pochettino’s men could still finish third if the Blues slip-up against Leicester City at the King Power.

Everything has already been decided at the bottom of the table with Huddersfield, Fulham and Cardiff consigned to relegation so we’re focussing on events at the top.

This is the place to keep up-to-date with all the action involving the top six here throughout the day. We’ll have all the team news at around 2pm, live blogging throughout the games and we’ll post video goals when possible…..
