Arsenal & Tottenham in battle to sign Bundesliga star, deal can be done at £13m

Arsenal and Tottenham are among the clubs showing a keen interest in signing Ozan Kabak with the Stuttgart centre-back available for £13.2m this summer

Managers are working hard trying to strengthen their squads during the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal and Tottenham are linked with Ozan Kabak….

Arsenal and Tottenham are among the clubs showing a keen interest in signing Ozan Kabak with the Stuttgart centre-back available for just £13.2m this summer, according to talkSPORT.

Kabak came through the youth ranks at Galatarasay before breaking into the first team set-up last year and he earned a move to Stuttgart back in January when the Bundesliga club paid £10m for his signature.

The 19-year-old settled quickly in Germany and scored three goals in his 12 appearances during the second half of the season but it wasn’t enough to prevent Stuttgart from being relegated after finishing third from bottom.

Stuttgart are set to lose several players following their demotion to the second tier of German football and is seems Kabak’s potential has caught the attention of clubs here in the Premier League.

talkSPORT claims Arsenal and Tottenham could be ready to battle it out with Man Utd over a deal to sign Kabak this summer with the teenage defender available for just £13.2m due to a release clause in his contract.

Unai-Emery-arsenal

Arsenal need to strengthen their defence this summer after conceding 51 goals in the league and Kabak could be viewed as a long-term replacement for Laurent Koscielny – who’s being linked with a move away from the Emirates.

Boss Unai Emery is going to be working on a tight budget after Arsenal missed out on Champions League qualification this season so a £13.2m deal for Kabak could be tempting for the Gunners.

However, they reportedly face competition from north London rivals Tottenham as Mauricio Pochettino has also been keeping a close eye on Kabak’s development ahead of a potential swoop this summer.

Toby Alderweireld is expected to leave Tottenham as he has just one year left on his contract so Pochettino could view Kabak as a potential long-term replacement who could compete with the likes of Jan Vertonghen, Davinson Sanchez and Juan Foyth.

Kabak is tipped to become a full Turkish international having represented his country 50 times at youth level so he certainly seems to have a bright future ahead of him so I think he’d be an exciting young signing for either Arsenal or Tottenham.

However, we’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming weeks as Man Utd are also reportedly snuffing around but it looks like Kabak could be heading for the Premier League this summer.
