Arsenal agree personal terms with 25-year-old star as Emery closes-in on 1st signing

Arsenal have agreed terms with Yannick Carrasco and are thrashing out the final details of a deal with his club Dalian Yifang.

Managers are working hard trying to strengthen their squads during the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal are closing-in on a deal for Yannick Carrasco…

Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira claims Arsenal have agreed terms with Yannick Carrasco and are thrashing out the final details of a deal with his club Dalian Yifang.

Carrasco was strongly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium back in January before we eventually opted to sign Denis Suarez on loan from Barcelona but speculation in recent days suggests Arsenal have renewed their interest in the winger.

The 25-year-old told Nieuwsblad last week that he has an offer on the table as he looks to secure a move back to Europe following a spell in China with Dalian Yifang and the Belgian publication claimed the club in question is Arsenal.

It appears negotiations are at an advanced stage as Nicolo Schira – who works for Gazzetta dello Sport – claims Arsenal have agreed terms with Carrasco and are now thrashing out the finer details of a deal with Dalian Yifang.

Schira said on Twitter:

Unai Emery is expected to be extremely busy in the market this summer as he looks to revamp his squad following a frustrating campaign and the Arsenal boss needs to add some genuine width to his ranks.

Carrasco would fit the bill perfectly as he can play on either wing and has plenty of top level experience in Europe from his impressive stints at Monaco and Atletico Madrid before he made a surprise move to China.

The Belgian international still has his best years ahead of him and with career stats of 57 goals and 52 assists in 263 games, he’d certainly add another threat in front of goal if he does complete his move to Arsenal this summer.

We’ll have to wait and see how things progress over the coming days but it looks like Carrasco could become our first major signing of the summer and I think he would be an excellent piece of business.
