Man Utd join Arsenal & Tottenham in race to sign exciting £15m star

Manchester United have joined the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham in showing a keen interest in signing £15m-rated Norwich City defender Max Aarons

Managers are working hard trying to strengthen their squads during the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, the chase for Max Aarons hots-up….

Manchester United have joined the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham in showing a keen interest in signing £15m-rated Norwich City defender Max Aarons this summer, according to The Sun.

Aarons joined the Norwich youth system in 2016 having began his career at Luton Town and the teenager has developed into one of the most exciting young players in British football since breaking into the first team set-up in 2018.

The 19-year-old established himself as a regular at Carrow Road last season and made 43 appearances in all competitions to help Norwich secure promotion to the Premier League after winning the Championship.

Aarons was voted as the EFL Young Player of the Year and it seems his impressive performances have also caught the eye of several top level clubs as The Sun claims Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea have all expressed their interest in the right-back.

Unai Emery is in the market for a new full-back after Stephan Lichtsteiner left the club and it appears the Arsenal boss is eyeing Aarons as a long-term replacement who can compete with Hector Bellerin over the coming years.

Mauricio Pochettino is also on the look out for another right-back amid speculation Kieran Trippier will leave the club this summer and Tottenham also appear to be lining-up Aarons as a potential summer recruit.

However, the north London duo will face fresh competition as The Sun are citing a report from Sky Sports that claims Man Utd have now joined Arsenal and Tottenham in showing an interest in the teenage defender.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to be extremely active in the market over the coming weeks and a new right-back is needed as Antonio Valencia has left the club, Ashley Young turns 34 next month while Matteo Darmian is being tipped for a move back to Italy.

The report says Aaron Wan-Bissaka is United’s prime target but they are being forced to look elsewhere due to Crystal Palace’s £60m valuation and Solskjaer has lined-up Aarons as his preferred alternative target.

We’ll have to wait and see how things progress over the coming weeks but The Sun suggests Norwich value Aarons at £15m and it appears three of England’s biggest clubs could be battling over a deal for the England U19 international this summer.
