ASHLEY COLE RULED OUT FOR THE SEASON

Chelsea’s season has been rocked with the news that full-back Ashley Cole has been ruled out for 3 months with a fractured ankle. The left-back sustained the injury in the Blues’ 2-1 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park in a challenge with Landon Donovan.

The lay-off means Cole will basically miss the rest of the season, a devastating blow for both player and club with Chelsea currently leading the Premier League, and still fighting for the FA Cup and Champions League.

The injury will also be of concern to England manager Fabio Capello who will hope Cole will recover on schedule ahead of this summers World Cup.
