Chelsea will be desperate to bounce back from their defeat to Man Utd when they take on Leicester City at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

Frank Lampard has recalled Mason Mount after he impressed off the bench during Chelsea’s Super Cup penalty shootout defeat to Liverpool in midweek. Mateo Kovacic is the man to make way as N’Golo Kante and Jorginho keep their places in midfield.

Kurt Zouma is also retained in defence despite giving away a clumsy penalty against Liverpool so the Frenchman lines-up alongside Andreas Christensen with Antonio Rudiger still not fit to return from a knee injury.

Emerson starts at left-back with Marcos Alonso once again having to make-do with a place on the bench while Cesar Azpilicueta lines-up at right-back and Kepa keeps his place between the sticks for Chelsea.

Olivier Giroud is rewarded for getting himself on the score-sheet on Wednesday night as he keeps his place up from meaning Tammy Abraham has to settle for a place among the substitutes. Christian Pulisic and Pedro support Giroud in attack so Willian is named on the bench alongside Ross Barkley.

As for Leicester, Jamie Vardy leads the line up front with James Maddison offering support  but summer signing Denis Praet has to settle for a place on the bench.
