Chelsea got back to winning ways in style as Tammy Abraham scored a superb hat-trick during a 5-2 victory over Wolves at Molineux this afternoon.

The Blues opened the scoring thanks to a superb striker from Fikayo Tomori as the young defender curled home a stunner from 25 yards into the top corner to give the visitors the lead in the 31st minute.

It wasn’t long before it was 2-0 as Abraham got his first of the afternoon when he turned smartly in the area before firing into the back of the net from close range in the 34th minute to put Chelsea in control.

Frank Lampard’s side virtually put the game to bed before the break as Abraham powered home a header from a Marcos Alonso cross in the 41st minute to make it 3-0 to Chelsea at half-time.

Abraham then sealed his hat-trick with a brilliant individual goal as the England U21 international outwitted Wolves defender Connor Coady with a lovely piece of skill before firing in to the far corner of the net to make it 4-0 in the 55th minute.

Wolves pulled one back midway through the second half when Kepa couldn’t hold a Romain Saiss header from a corner and it deflected off Abraham and into the net for 1-4 before Patrick Cutrone grabbed a late second for the hosts to make the scoreline more respectable.

Mason Mount wrapped things up with a late fifth goal when he fired into the bottom corner. The 5-2 victory sees Chelsea climb up to sixth in the Premier League table with only goal difference separating them from third-placed Tottenham.
