Life-long Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has heaped praise on Bukayo Saka after the teenager starred during Arsenal’s 3-0 Europa League victory over Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night.

Unai Emery made several changes to his starting eleven for the group stage opener with Saka among those given a chance to impress after lining-up alongside Emile Smith Rowe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the Arsenal attack.

While Smith Rowe struggled during his first start of 2019, Saka took his opportunity with both hands as he was Arsenal’s most dangerous player during an impressive 3-0 win over last year’s Europa League semi-finalists.

The 18-year-old was always a threat on the ball and caused the Frankfurt defence all sorts of problems with his direct dribbling skills and movement off the ball. It was fellow youngster Joe Willock who broke the deadlock with a deflected strike just before half-time but Saka starred as Arsenal took control after the break.

After Frankfurt were reduced to 10-men in the 79th minute, Saka sealed the three points for Arsenal after curling home a superb effort into the bottom corner from 20 yards before setting up Aubameyang to wrap-up a 3-0 win. [Watch the goals here]

Fans have been praising the teen star on social media with many calling for Saka to be given more game-time in the first team having started the season behind Reiss Nelson while some feel he’s already made more of an impact than big-money summer signing Nicolas Pepe.

Celebrity Arsenal fan and TV presenter Piers Morgan joined in the praise of Saka after taking to Twitter to express his ‘love’ for the young winger. Morgan also said he was ‘superb all game’ and labelled Saka an ‘exciting talent’.

There is no doubt Saka looks to have a huge future ahead of him and he’s done his first team chances the world of good with his performance in the Europa League last night.

His display is better than anything we’ve seen from Nelson or Pepe so far this season so he should certainly be in Emery’s thoughts ahead of Sunday’s clash with Aston Villa at the Emirates.

We shouldn’t get too carried away after one game but Saka has been impressing in the youth teams for some time and it looks like he’s ready to make the step-up to the first team this season and should play a prominent role in the cup competitions.
