Arsenal will be looking for a win to move up to third in the table when they take on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Monday night. Here is the side Gooner Mac thinks Unai Emery will select for the game:

Goalkeeper: Emi Martinez has done well in the cup competitions this season but I expect Bernd Leno to retain his place between the sticks tomorrow night.

Defence: Hector Bellerin could be back in the squad after working on his fitness during the international break but Emery isn’t expected to start the Spaniard in the Premier League just yet so a place on the bench may be the best he can hope for. Calum Chambers appears to have moved ahead of Ainsley Maitland-Niles in the pecking order so he could retain his place at right-back if Bellerin isn’t risked.

Kieran Tierney is slightly ahead of Bellerin in terms of match fitness so the Scottish international could be in-line to make his full league debut for Arsenal tomorrow with Sead Kolasinac dropping out.

Rob Holding is pushing for a start but I think Emery will stick with David Luiz alongside Sokratis in the middle of the Arsenal back four at Bramall Lane. Shkodran Mustafi is another option for the boss but a place on the bench is the best he can hope for.

Midfield: Arsenal have plenty of options in midfield and captain Granit Xhaka is expected to keep his place despite some inconsistent performances this season. Matteo Guendouzi has played his way into the starting eleven with some superb displays so he should keep his place tomorrow.

Joe Willock and Dani Ceballos are other options for Arsenal but Emery may opt to go with a more defensive option away to a tough Sheffield United side so Lucas Torreira could come in alongside Xhaka and Guendouzi.

Attack: Alexandre Lacazette is set to return to the squad after recovering from an ankle injury that’s hampered him for the past seven weeks but he’s lacking match fitness so I think the Frenchman will be named on the bench.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will continue to lead the line up front and the Gabon hitman will be hoping to continue his superb form having won the September Player of the Month award.

Reiss Nelson is out with a knee injury so Bukayo Saka could keep his place in the Arsenal attack after the teen star forced his way into Emery’s plans with some impressive performances.

Nicolas Pepe has looked low on confidence at times this season and he’s clearly still adjusting to life in England but the lad has bags of potential. Gabriel Martinelli is an option for Emery but I think Pepe will keep his place on the right.

Here is how I think we’ll see Arsenal line-up:
