Nicolas Pepe came off the bench to score two stunning late free-kicks as Arsenal came from behind twice to beat Vitoria 3-2 in the Europa League at the Emirates tonight.

The Gunners started slowly and Vitoria took full advantage as the Portuguese outfit took an early lead when former Tottenham winger Marcus Edwards slotted past Emi Martinez for 0-1 in the 8th minute.

Arsenal gradually got themselves into the game and managed to level things up in the 32nd minute when Gabriel Martinelli headed home to make it 1-1 following a wonderful cross from summer signing Kieran Tierney.

Vitoria stunned the hosts once again as they restored their lead just four minutes later when Bruno Duarte fired home after Ainsley Maitland-Niles lost the ball in the middle of the park to gift the visitors possession.

However, Arsenal rallied and eventually found another equaliser when Nicolas Pepe came off the bench to curl home a superb free-kick from 20 yards to make it 2-2 in the 80th minute.

It looked like the north Londoners would have to settle for a point but Pepe had other ideas as he scored another stunning free-kick right into the top corner in stoppage time to win it for Arsenal.
