A look at the favourites to win the 2020 European Championship

The 2020 European Championship is just around the corner so we’re going to take a look at some of the favourites to win the tournament next year.

Qualification for Euro 2020 is coming towards is climax and all the usual big hitters are expected to qualify for the finals with 24 places up for grabs. There are no automatic qualification places due to 12 different countries holding matches during the finals.

World Champions France are currently the 7/2 favourites to win Euro 2020 and it’s no surprise given the huge amount of talent available to boss Didier Deschamps. The French currently sit level on points with Turkey at the top of qualifying Group H but they should book their place in the finals with wins over Moldova and Albania this month. It will take a special team to prevent France from winning the Euro’s, that’s for sure.

England could be the team to stop France next summer. The Three Lions will be fancied by many bettors after reaching the semi-finals of the World Cup last year and Gareth Southgate has done an excellent job in the hot seat. England are currently priced at 9/2 and are some tipsters pick for the tournament. Many have spoken to expert Katie Johnson about new casino sites 2020 and they are all backing England to be right among the favourites.

We also can not overlook Spain as they have a squad filled with world class talent. The Spaniard’s can be backed at odds of 7/1 which looks excellent value considering how well they’ve performed at big tournaments this century. Belgium are also priced at 7/1 and like Spain they have a squad brimming with talent. The likes of Eden Hazard, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne have enough ability to fire Belgium all the way at Euro 2020 so I expect them to be fighting for the trophy.

We also can’t forget about Germany as they have a long history of doing well at major tournaments. The Germans are priced at 8/1 along with Holland while Italy and defending champions Portugal can be backed at odds of 14/1.

However, the best pick from the outsiders may actually be Croatia as they are currently at 25/1 – which is huge odds considering they reached the World Cup final last summer – so I would be tempted to have a punt on them.
