March Arrives And 3 Trophies Remain For Gunners
I know they say every game is important, but realistically it is very difficult to perform to your best in every game. I mean, we know we all want to see it from our players but it’s just not always possible. I mean, even they are human beings and even they have lives, don’t they!
This month is crucial for Arsenal in many ways. It gives us the opportunity to show that we are the best. It gives us the opportunity to show we have matured , but most importantly it gives us the opportunity to show that we are not ones to be pushed around. In 2 weeks we can lose 2 trophies. We face Barcelona, and then IF we beat Orient, we have to face the league leaders. Imagine that, a week back our manager said we can go for the quadruple, but he never did mention the fact that in 3 weeks we may be left empty handed, or to put it in a better way, lose the treble!
I am not going to argue much about Sunday’s Carling Cup match. We played well, and lost. Now let’s move on. Orient arrives tomorrow, and we can’t let, as our manager rightly said, 1 game f*ck our season up. Well, he did not say it in that way, but I’m sure he meant that.
The month starts of with the game against Orient tomorrow, then Sunderland come to the Emirates on the 5th March. 3 days later, we travel to Spain. 4 days later, if we beat Orient we face United at Old Trafford. And a week after that it’s Albion away.
These are 5 matches which are crucial for our season. We cannot afford to lose points in our premier league games. We just cannot. And to ensure that we cannot lose our composure. I know maturity takes time, but now we have not time to sit and ponder what could have been at Wembley. The attitude should be greater things await us in the future…
