Fabregas Takes Blame For ‘Worst Moment Of His Life’

By on March 9, 2011

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has taken full responsibility for the 3-1 defeat to Barcelona and described it as one of the ‘worst moments of my life’. With the score at 0-0 and half time only minutes away, Fabregas gifted Barcelona possession after attempting a risky backheel on the edge of his are, before Iniesta sent Messi clear to open the scoring.

The Arsenal captain was clearly not 100% fit and struggled to get into the game before being substituted late on. But he has taken time to thank the fans using his Twitter account before apologising for the result:

So now it,s Cesc,s fault for two rubbish pieces of defending,Clichy not steping up with Djourou and Koscielny for Messi,s first goal and Sagna diving in and deflecting the ball past his own keeper ,typical Arsenal fickle fans bulls- but what about Abidal,s hand around Diaby,s throat as Diaby himself got a red card and a three match ban for what he did to Joey Barton vs Newcastle, more inept refereeing costing Arsenal dearly on the night ?
