Man United On Verge of Signing Javier Pastore?

By on March 10, 2011

The rumour mill has been in overdrive this week that Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Javier Pastore. The Argentinian has been the focus of much transfer speculation recently with Barcelona and Manchester City both though to be heavily interested.

The 21 year old attacking midfielder has been lighting it up for Palermo this season in Serie A and already has nine international caps to his name for Argentina. Messi is said to be friend and a fan and has reportedly urged Pep Guardiola to buy the playmaker. Numerous stories have pooped up recently claiming United are on very close to this signing.

Obviously it is all just mere speculation but I can’t help get excited when I hear these types of stories, especially as this is exactly the type of player United need in my view. There are frailties in the current United side and the lack of a creative presence behind the strikers is one of them.

There is every chance that Pastore will end up at Barcelona or Real Madrid in the coming season but you never know.. There is no smoke without fire and all that. Have a look at the video below and see what all the fuss is about. What do you think about this potential signing?

Please Fergie sign this Boy quickly. He is such a great creative midfielder that United needs badly at the moment. Knowing that Scholes is almost finish age wise and Anderson very is prone to injuries. These are our only creative midfielders, all others are mechanical.

Can’t see us signing anyone this coming transfer window! The glazers are here to pay off their debts not shell out on large transfers!A GK and a couple of kids for the future will be all we do!!If the glazers wanted whats best for the team, they’d sell!!

I think pastore shud be our first signing in d summer alongside sanchez, because if we fail to sign does 2 players and another epl team signs them they will do to us what suarez has done to us

I think Sir will still gamble and fumble because we have been hering massive signing since 2008/2009 season but non came to pass, a fabuliouse club like man united should have a potential deffensive and offensive midfildeer not Michael Carrick, Gibson , Anderson, the only midfilder we have is School he not young again toplay hard footbal. If united do not sign in the summer it will be difficult tobe in the top four come next season, because the like of City, Chelsea, Liverpool even Totor, are doing not only signing but big names and massive signing
