[VIDEO] Footage Of Arsenal Starlet Alban Banjaku: The New Bergkamp?

By on March 22, 2011

As Arsenal fans we’re used to hearing about ‘the new Henry’ or the ‘new Vieira’, well this fella has been named ‘the new Bergkamp’ (yes i know, he’s not the first and sure as hell wont be the last!). I’m sure whoever came up with his nick-name based it purely on the fact he wears the famous NO.10 shirt but whatever. Judging by the footage, Alban Banjaku certainly has a nice touch and an eye for goal so let’s see how long it is before he’s breaking into the first team squad. Here’s a compilation of some of his best bits…

When i read the name Bunjaku i thought he is of African origin lol He is very good player. He has vision, quick feet and ball control like dutch master and suprise suprise he does not look like a midget like most of our first team players.

He is albanian don’t forget. He is going to be a massive player. In two or three years he will reach the first XI for sure. And he is so commited to Arsenal. I said with no fear he is going to stay at Arsenal for whole of his life.
    Proud to be albanian!
All the best to all of Albanian and Arsenal supporters.

Nice movement on and off the ball, nice cutting passes, strong in the tackle, good finisher, fairly good pace and is a tall lad….also excellent ball control (that’s Bergkamp’s style)..should be another Wenger gem!

Very impressed. Seems to be able to find space and link play very well and very comfortable even with close pressure. Looks more Chamakh than Bergkamp to me though.

Chamakh? Bunjaku plays as a classic number 10 in the under-18 side and he plays nothing like Chamakh. If I was to compare him to someone, it would probably be Pastore.

Awesome ball control, good technique, dribbles well with the ball, he has also got vision and an eye for goal. I hope he develops well and improve. I think he will fit both centrally and on the wings. Great promise. Lets watch out.

Exellent Ball Controll. That is what Wenger want’s from the players. Ball controll, passes, good technique, dribbles. Everything is OK. He is ready for the first Team… Compliments goes for Albania.

He looks great a keeper as 4 Bendtner you should of watched him a couple of years ago against his own age he was unstoppable like Drogba at his best but yes it hasn,t worked 451 doesn,t suit him & he doesn,t suit it a more direct team playing to him in a 442 would
