[VIDEO] Torres’ Poor Form Continues After Sloppy Display For Spain

By on March 29, 2011

Chelsea’s £50m man Fernando Torres continued with his indifferent form of late with a lacklustre second half performance as Spain beat Czech Republic 2-1 this weekend. Torres came on at half time and seemed off the pace with mis-placed passes and stray shots, his form improved slightly in the remaining 15 minutes with a few neat touches and he tested Cech with a powerful effort late on, but he was certainly far from the Torres we all know from his deadly Liverpool days. However, i’m sure it won’t be long before the ‘real’ Torres returns as he is a class act…

The guy might be sloppy now but his positioning is good. All he needs is that confidence he used to have at the pool. All these reporters need to let the guy rest.

I’m sure he’ll return to his deadly best at some time. Hopefully not against Liverpool. He’s gone now and let’s forget about him. He’s just another ex-Liverpool player. Lets focus on the players that are important – the players with the liver bird upon their chest. King Kenny has us singing again, and that is all that matters! Long Live the King!!

Looked like a decent performance to me. He was where he needed to be. Could have done with being on target more often but don’t really see were the critisism is coming from. He was exciting when he came to Liverpool and if he can lift himself he can be just as good again. I think he needs one to one man management though and on his sort of salary needs a kick up the arse.
