Liverpool Injury News: Steven Gerrard Returns

By on March 31, 2011

Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has returned to training ahead of his side’s upcoming fixture against West Brom at the Hawthorns on Saturday.

In fact, Kenny Dalglish’s hot prospect, Jonjo Shelvey, is also back in full training as Liverpool look set to battle Tottenham Hotspur for the much-needed 5th spot and gain European qualification for next season.

Despite playing a game more, Liverpool are currently lying 5 points behind Harry Redknapp’s side. Thus, the 3 points from their West Brom encounter is definitely needed as the Merseysiders head into the most pivotal stage of the season.

Liverpool weren’t exactly in buoyant mood after Steven Gerrard’s quick recovery as defenders Martin Kelly and Fabio Aurelio were added into the club’s injury list. The duo have disappointingly suffered setbacks in their recovery from hamstring injuries.
