Mason Mount, a midfielder for Chelsea, is being pursued by Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool as his contract in west London expires.

Since the club’s founding in 1905, the Blues have held their home matches at the west London stadium; however, in recent years, there have been numerous rumours that the Blues may move to a new, more giant stadium. Later this year, a decision on whether to move or remain in place is anticipated, and in the interim, they cannot afford any on-field disturbances. Those with Chelsea tickets await the decision amid mixed opinions.

After a 2-2 draw with Everton before the March international break, Chelsea are nowhere close to the top 4 in the Premier League and will need a late-season comeback to salvage any chance of qualifying for Europe. But, there is still a chance for a successful season because the Blues defeated Borussia Dortmund to go to the quarterfinals of the Champions League, where they will play the defending champion Real Madrid.

After matches against Villa, Liverpool, and Wolves in the top division, the first leg will take place in mid-April. Here are the most recent Chelsea news stories.

Liverpool and Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing the playmaker, whose contract expires next summer. Mason Mount’s future continues to dominate news reports.

After a 2-2 draw with Everton before the March international break, the Blues are currently in a dismal 10th place in the Premier League, much to the dismay of those with Chelsea tickets and will need a late-season comeback to salvage any chance of qualifying for Europe. But, there is still a chance for a successful season because the Blues defeated Borussia Dortmund to go to the quarterfinals of the Champions League, where they will play the defending champion Real Madrid.

Liverpool and Bayern Munich are reportedly interested in signing the playmaker, whose contract expires next summer. Mason Mount’s future continues to dominate news reports.

This summer, Chelsea plans to determine whether to stay at Stamford Bridge or move somewhere for their home games.

According to The Times, Todd Boehly and his colleagues have three choices: entirely rebuild the Stadium, remodel it, or relocate to a new, 60,000-seat stadium in Earl’s Court. The American owner wants to play home matches in a state-of-the-art stadium, but leaving Chelsea’s traditional home would surely result in severe opposition.

Gvardiol forced out of Blues’ radar

Long before he lit up the World Cup with Croatia, Josko Gvardiol was on Chelsea’s radar, but the Blues’ ambitions of signing the highly-rated centre-back have been severely damaged. Those with Chelsea tickets were highly hopeful of acquiring Gvardiol’s services, given the club’s spending spree on talented youngsters.

According to Sky Sport Deutschland, RB Leipzig are prepared to hold firm in the face of a deluge of summer interest in the 21-year-old. According to the source, the Bundesliga club wants to keep Gvardiol for at least another year and is not considering moving him this summer, not even for €100 million (£88 million).

James to Madrid?

According to the Spanish publication AS, Reece James is at the top of Real Madrid’s transfer wishlist for this summer, and this follows their interest in the Chelsea right defender last year.

James is not the only name on that list, but he is placed above players like Juan Foyth of Villarreal and Joo Cancelo, who is presently on loan from Manchester City to Bayern Munich, as he very well should be.

To help balance the books and make the team smaller than the 30+ players Chelsea currently has, Real are reportedly seeking to capitalise on Chelsea’s need to sell players this summer. The ideal number for the blues would be closer to 24–25 (two at each position, alongside a few utility players).

Reece James is untouchable and has a new long-term contract that runs through 2028, so Real can show them as much interest as they like without the Blues having to worry.

Transfer Watch

In the forthcoming summer transfer window, Jose Mourinho is planning to make a move for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, according to Football Insider. As he reaches the final year of his contract, the Blues are prepared to let the 27-year-old depart in the summer. Although AC Milan and AS Roma are both interested, a team has yet to make a move for his signature formally.

In 2020, Bayern Munich was one of the teams interested in Kai Havertz, but he ultimately chose to leave Bayer Leverkusen for Chelsea. Havertz reflects on his decision in an interview with Sport Bild and acknowledges that resisting Bayern Munich’s temptation was challenging.

“Bayern is a huge club in general, and as a German player, it’s hard to say no to them,” Havertz said, “but my objective was always to play overseas in England or Spain.”

“I enjoy trying new things, and I appreciate new adventures. Following four seasons in the Bundesliga, I found it nearly unbearably monotonous. Thinking back, the choice was sound.

Bayern Munich’s interest in Havertz has increased after Thomas Tuchel, a former Chelsea manager, was named head coach.

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are expected to compete for the services of Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni during the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes.

The Italian centre-back has been named a summer target for the Blues, who may compete with Tottenham for his services.

If they cannot agree with the defender, Inter may be obliged to sell Bastoni before his contract expires in the summer of 2024.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Mateo Kovacic of Chelsea is not someone Bayern Munich is interested in signing this summer.

Plettenberg claims that despite their high regard for him, Bayern Munich has yet to make plans to add players to the centre of the pitch.

According to rumours, Chelsea is planning to make a move for Julian Nagelsmann, the former manager of Bayern Munich. Having decided to fire Graham Potter, they have a long list of candidates.

Nagelsmann’s break could coincide with the Blues’ period of looking for a new manager.

Inter is planning to sign yet another Chelsea striker this summer. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is less liked at Stamford Bridge and wants to switch teams, and La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter are willing to sign the Gabon international.

Romelu Lukaku, a second Chelsea loanee, has underperformed this year, and Inter are considering other options.

Ez Abde of Barcelona is being monitored by several teams, including Chelsea, according to Fichajesreports.

Abde is now on loan at Osasuna and has impressed this season, drawing interest from clubs like Real Betis and Nottingham Forest, among others.

Since Todd Boehly’s consortium took over from Roman Abramovich, Chelsea seemed to have embarked on an ambitious journey to dominate domestically and continentally. Stamford Bridge continuously racks in total numbers despite uncertainty about its future. Chelsea tickets are still in full swing.
