Well, it seems like Wenger is intent on making the Nou Camp Chiefs as annoyed as possible, as he is interested in another Barcelona academy player, Xavi Quintilla.
Quintilla is one year younger than when Fabregas moved to London several summers ago. Fabregas is now valued at around £50 million pounds and is the Arsenal captain. Wenger is unhappy at Barcelona’s transfer tactics and seems intent to anger Barcelona as much as possible.
It will definitely be interesting to watch how Pep Guardiola and Sandro Rossell will react to news that their prospect could potentially leave their club for free, given the fact that they have already seen another academy player, rising star Jon Miquel Toral Harper, agree to join Arsenal earlier in the season.
Quintilla can play both in defence and in midfield, and scouts from the London side have watched the player in action on more than one occasion. The versatile player cannot sign a professional contract with Barcelona just yet, and Arsenal are reportedly ready to pounce before his current club can offer professional terms.
Transfer rulings in Spain rule that a player under the age of 17 years old are not allowed to sign professional contracts with their club, meaning that other clubs are free to take them away without getting into trouble with the authorities.

Our wage bill is around 111 million pound per year because we keep signing talented and unproven players who win us nothing. The board is asking the fans to pay this type of signing by increasing Emirates ticket prices. What a joke.
If we sell the likes of Denilson, Diaby, and Bendtner and get one or two quality players, we will be winning one or two trophies every year.

you guys all need to take a chill pill and show AW some bloody respect. Yeah, he buys youth. so what? Cesc Fabregas was brought in through the youth system. same with Alex Song, Clichy, Szczesny, Flamini (albeit sold now), WILSHIRE. to name some of the few that have made it and there are more coming through. AW manages to continously keep us in the top 4 season by season. Spending money cannot guarantee success. just look at Liverpool. Fans that keep complaining about Wenger and the team should either shut up or go support Chelsea. Cos your not fans and i feel ashamed being associated with you.
