Liverpool will be looking to maintain their late push for a top four place with a win over Brentford at Anfield on Saturday evening. Here is a match preview with betting odds and prediction…

Betting odds

There is always plenty of interest in the betting markets when Liverpool are playing due to their enormous fan-base. Supporters can quickly place bets on the Reds by initiating a syndicate login casino process on a computer or mobile device, so it couldn’t be easier to back Liverpool this weekend.

The Merseysiders are the 4/9 favourites with many bookmakers to win the game on Saturday evening. You can get odds of 11/2 if you think Brentford will cause a shock at Anfield while it’s 4/1 on the points being shared.

There should be plenty of goal-mouth action in this game so both team to score at odds of 8/13 looks like a solid bet. Over 2.5 match goals is also a strong bet at odds of 1/2 while those who want a bit more value may opt to back over 3.5 match goals at 13/10.

Mohamed Salah is still a huge threat in front of goal and the Egyptian international is the 7/2 favourite to open the scoring. Trent Alexander-Arnold is relishing his new midfield role and he’s 11/10 to grab an assist in the game.

Liverpool are still excellent on home soil so they’ll be confident of winning this game. For those looking to bet on football a 2-1 victory for the Reds is available at odds of 13/2.

Form

Liverpool have endured a disappointing season but they have rediscovered some form in recent weeks. A 1-0 win over Fulham on Wednesday night made it five consecutive wins following victories over Tottenham, West Ham, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are making a late push to finish in the top four as they now sit fifth in the table, four point behind Manchester United following their defeat to Brighton. However, their rivals have a game in hand so Liverpool cannot afford any slip-ups if they’re to snatch a Champions League qualification place.

Brentford on the other hand have enjoyed an excellent season. The Bees have already secured their top flight status for another year and sit comfortably in ninth position in the table.

They come into the game off the back of consecutive wins over Nottingham Forest and Chelsea, and victory would keep alive their hopes of securing a European qualification place this season.

Prediction

Brentford are a dangerous side and Ivan Toney will cause plenty of problems so they should be confident of scoring against a Liverpool side who’ve struggled to keep clean sheets this season.

However, the Reds are still formidable at home and have found some form in recent weeks. Klopp will be desperate to close the gap on Man Utd ahead of their clash with West Ham on Sunday, and we don’t think this is an opportunity they’ll turn down.

It should be a competitive game at Anfield, but we’re backing Liverpool to edge it to maintain their hopes of climbing above Man Utd into fourth spot. Liverpool 2-1 Brentford
