Spurs Ladies in top-form

This is not about Harry’s lads. It’s not about Bale, Van der Vaart or Modric. This piece is dedicated to Tottenham Hotspur ladies team.

Spurs Ladies completed the South-East Combination Women’s football League (third tier of the game) in style, as they won the title by a 9-point margin. On Sunday, the Ladies won 2-0 at Crystal Palace in their 18th victory of the season in 22 matches, achieving promotion to the Women’s Premier League South.

Yet, there is no time for celebrations as the ladies prepared to take on Luton Town at Broxbourne Borough FC (on Sunday, April 24th) in the semi-finals of the League Cup. Should Spurs Ladies win, they will play Cambridge Women in the final.

Manager Karen Hills acknowledged to tottenhamhotspur.com:

“It’s already been the best season in the club’s history and we still have plenty to play for.  Hopefully a few Spurs fans will be able to come down and see the girls in action in the semi-final.”

Congratulations to: Bethany Ives, Robin Mcvoey, Ebony Heath, Sam Pittuck, Rhya Vyse, Nicola Cable, Emma Kayser, Jenna Schillaci, Rosi Webb, Kirsten Thompson, Kelly Townsend. Subs: Derrie O’Halloran, Robin Downie and Christina Oshodi.
