Mourinho backs Argentine Star at AS Roma: Lukaku in trouble

Roma manager Jose Mourinho has made a significant claim that his forward Paulo Dybala’s impact is similar to that of Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain.

AS Roma manager Jose Mourinho has made a significant claim that his forward Paulo Dybala’s impact at AS Roma is similar to that of Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Joining Roma as a free agent last summer, he has been a vital asset for the Italian side. In his first season, he scored 18 goals and eight assists in 38 games, much to the delight of everyone with AS Roma tickets.

This breakthrough from Dybala also helped the side qualify for the UEFA Europa LeagueBut this season is different. The Argentine World Cup winner made just three appearances and has only played 161 minutes.

Much of this is due to his fitness issues after overlapping injuries, but he is confident of returning to his usual form shortly.  This form is good news for everyone with AS Roma Tickets, as the team struggles to reach the top 6.

Reflecting on the forward’s impact at Roma, Mourinho compared Dybala to PSG’s Kylian Mbappe and Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva. But he added that he cannot play the Argentine consistently, telling La Gazzetta dello Sport:

“Paulo for us is like Bernardo Silva for City or Mbappé for PSG. He is a special player, but I can’t always use him. He needs to be managed and rested.”

“With Torino, I will start him from the beginning, but I may have to remove him before the end because he will also have to play in the middle of the week against Genoa,” he added earlier.

Roma have had a tough start to the 2023-24 Serie A season as they sit in the bottom tier places with one win in five games, apart from one draw and two defeats. This form of play has kept fans with AS Roma tickets in mixed reactions, but everything can change with a long season ahead.

Renato Sanchez’s Injury not helping

If there is a player who was hyped as a rising star to the top-most level and later shot down, it would be Renato Sanches.

Renato Sanches’ career has indeed taken an unexpected turn, from being a rising star in 2016 to facing persistent injury issues at AS Roma. His journey serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of football careers, where injuries can play a significant role in a player’s trajectory. For fans with AS Roma tickets, it is a depressing tale.

Sanches’ early success as a player included winning the Golden Boy award earlier and playing a pivotal role in Portugal’s European Championship victory, making him one of the game’s promising talents. However, injuries and setbacks have hindered his progress over the years.

Jose Mourinho’s frustration over Sanches’ injuries highlights the player’s challenges. But, it will come down to how fast Sanches could recover and keep up.

A player who is consistently getting injured is a liability for any manager. And Mourinho knows it.

Despite the setbacks, there is still hope that Sanches can overcome these issues and rediscover his form. Football fans with AS Roma tickets who witnessed his rise still remember his undeniable talent, and they may be eager to see him fulfil his potential.

In football, where careers can have unexpected twists and turns, Sanches’ story is a testament to resilience and the determination to overcome obstacles.

Just like life, it is a reminder that challenges are part and parcel of life and that players must fight them to succeed.

Torino 1 – Roma 1

It disappointed the fans with AS Roma tickets as a late header from Duvan Zapata levelled the AS Roma vs. Torina game 1-1.

Roma, hoping to improve their unfortunate start to the season, failed to take maximum advantage, dropping points against Torina.

Romelu Lukaku gave Roma the win in the 68th minute with an impressive left-footed shot, offering hope for Jose Mourinho’s team.

However, Torino equalized five minutes before stoppage time when Duvan Zapata scored a diving header from a free-kick cross. This result leaves Roma in 13th place in the Serie A table with five points, still searching for consistency.

Despite the early struggles, Mourinho remains optimistic about his team’s performance and is confident that Roma will improve as the season progresses.

Currently, Roma sits way behind league leaders Inter Milan. But the manager is confident that there will be a turnaround by January.

Mourinho expressed that while the table doesn’t look favourable, it’s early in the season, and he expects a different situation by December.

Mourinho also mentioned the challenging conditions at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, suggesting that it’s a difficult place to play due to the style and pitch. Despite the setback, he praised his players for their performance in the match.

This draw against Torino was another failed step in Roma’s journey to find their rhythm in Serie A, with Mourinho aiming for better results in the coming months.

Lukaku needs new Representatives

After parting ways with Chelsea, things could have been more steady for the Belgian striker. Lukaku recently announced that he has parted ways with Roc Nation Sports, his representative and agent.

While the Belgian is finding new life and love with those with AS Roma tickets, his professional career has another roadblock.

Roc Nation Sports boasts an impressive football roster, including players like Kevin De Bruyne, Vinicius Junior, and Federico Dimarco. Despite his previous association with the agency, Lukaku’s name is no longer featured on the company’s website, indicating the end of their partnership.

This decision was reportedly made after Lukaku’s loan move to Roma was finalized.

After rejoining Chelsea for a massive fee from Inter, he struggled at Stamford Bridge, with no consistency and lack of form.

Additionally, Lukaku declined a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.

With its connection to Chelsea’s co-controlling owner Todd Boehly, Roc Nation Sports played a role in Lukaku’s loan back to Inter Milan after a single season in London.

For Lukaku, in his revival stint at AS Roma, finally getting the love from the fans, he will soon need to iron out his affairs away from the playing field. All eyes will be on him to perform this season in Italy.

Lukaku’s career remains a topic of discussion among clubs, supporters, managers, and owners, making his next career moves all the more intriguing.
