Liverpool Striking Fear In To Opponents At Last

With the £55m splashed out in January on Andy Carroll and Luiz Suarez, Liverpool seem to have found a strike force that can strike genuine fear into opponents.

Two Different Attackers

The two strikers at Anfield now are without a doubt nearly completely different players, Luis Suarez offers the skill to dribble and trick past any opponent with an accurate finesse shot whilst Carroll offers the physical side to the game, offering a huge danger from crosses and set pieces while also having another dimension in his game in scoring big piledrivers from outside the box.

Can They Gel?

My answer to that, is definitely. They just need a bit more game time to get used to partnering each other up front, along with that Carroll needs to get back to his full match fitness. Carroll will be even more dangerous should he see the form that we saw against Manchester City just over a week ago.

Team To Challenge?

Well, forget this year. This year has been an absolute nightmare, and all Liverpool FC fans even recognize that as a fact after disastrous results under Roy Hodgson, but Liverpool finally look like a team that can and probably WILL challenge in the near future. With a team featuring academy breakthroughs such as John Flanagan, Jack Robinson and the rise in importance of 22 year old midfielder, Jay Spearing.

Perfect Formation

Kenny Dalglish needs to operate Suarez towards the left side of the attack as Suarez seems to favour the left side, just as we saw against Manchester United in Liverpool’s 3-1 triumph at Anfield. Carroll needs to stay relatively close and shouldn’t have the need to track back as often as he does.
