Tottenham Hotspur are set to face Newcastle United at home in the Premier League today.
Having endured a dire campaign last term, the Lilywhites have splashed a huge amount of money in this window to revamp the squad and help Roberto De Zerbi turn the situation around.
However, Spurs were thrashed by Brentford 3-0 in the opening Premier League encounter last weekend. But they returned to winning ways by beating Charlton Athletic 5-1 in the Carabao Cup in midweek.
On the other hand, following Eddie Howe’s departure, Newcastle have started a new era under Matthias Jaissle and drew the opening league game vs Liverpool last weekend.

James Maddison is set to remain sidelined in this fixture, having sustained a shoulder injury last time out. However, Micky van de Ven, and Pedro Porro returned to action in midweek after recovering from their respective problems. So, they are in contention to start today.
Moreover, recent signings from Manchester City, Savio and Omar Marmoush, are ready to be involved in this game. Savio even showcased his qualities vs Charlton after coming on as a substitute.
Mohammed Kudus has also recovered from his long-term injury and is in contention to be involved today. However, Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons remain sidelined owing to their respective long-term injuries.
Predicted line-up
Antonio Kinsky is set to continue in goal and Martin Dubravka will have to make do with a place on the bench. Despite Van de Ven’s return, De Zerbi might continue with Jan Paul van Hecke and Marcos Senesi as centre-back pairing in this fixture.
Archie Gray started the last two games against Brentford and Charlton but Porro might get the nod to start in the right-back position today, while Andrew Robertson should be on the opposite side ahead of Destiny Udogie.
Sandro Tonali is expected to return to the starting line-up following a midweek rest, with Rodrigo Bentancur and Mateus Fernandes likely to complete the midfield trio. So, Lucas Bergvall would have to make do with a place on the bench.
