Manchester United have won only once in the Premier League so far in the season and after looking slightly out of ideas in attack, they could be helped by the addition of some players who can directly offer the goods in the final third.
According to TEAMtalk, one such name linked with the Red Devils ahead of the January transfer window is Real Madrid forward Endrick, who might consider his continuity at the Bernabeu midway through the campaign.
Following an injury-laden start to the season and Carlos Espi’s emergence, Endrick has made only one appearance for Los Blancos in all competitions so far, which is far from ideal after he rejected offers in the summer to fight for a place at the club.
Jose Mourinho has publicly maintained that Endrick is a part of his plans and the next few months could go a long way in determining how much the Portuguese counts on the Brazilian, with United set to be alert on chances to bring him in.
Endrick a top notch attacker for United
Endrick had a terrific half season on loan at Olympique Lyon earlier this year but having returned to Real Madrid, his situation under Jose Mourinho risks being absolutely identical to what it was under Xabi Alonso and Carlo Ancelotti.
If much of his game time is off the bench, the 20-year-old would be compelled to consider his future and a transfer to Manchester United may be viewed favourably by him considering Benjamin Sesko’s inconsistencies could see him play as the number nine.
The Brazilian international finishes superbly, makes intelligent runs in the box and has a powerful physique to hold off defenders. He is a proper number nine, but his work rate off the ball, tenacity and dribbling make him a handy option on the right flank too.
While Manchester United are keen on Endrick’s signing, there is still some time to go until the winter transfer window opens and with Endrick still attaining full fitness from his injury, his progress at Real Madrid will be worth keeping tabs on.
Real Madrid’s stance on his future could also go a long way in determining whether United decide to materialise their interest in him or not. On Transfermarkt, Endrick is valued at £34 million, but his actual asking price might be a lot higher, whereas Los Blancos could also only be open to loaning him out again, in which case the Red Devils may not see much value in his signing.
