[Teams] Brentford vs Chelsea: Confirmed line-ups as Henderson starts for Blues

 

Chelsea will be looking to get back to winning ways as they take on Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium this evening.

The Blues were held to a 2-2 draw by Hull City at Stamford Bridge last weekend. That result has left them sitting sixth in the table with 7 points from their four Premier League games so far.

Xabi Alonso will therefore be desperate to get back on track with a win at Brentford tonight and he’s made five changes from the side that started at the weekend.

Emi Martinez keeps his place between the sticks while Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill both start once again in the Chelsea defence. However, Jorrel Hato drops out to make way for Maxence Lacroix with the Frenchman recalled to the starting line-up.

Pedro Neto keeps his place in the team but Malo Gusto drops out on the opposite flank with Pep Chavarría given a chance to impress from the start. Jordan Henderson is also recalled to start in midfield alongside Valentin Barco meaning Romeo Lavia makes way. Reece James is also ruled out with an injury issue.

Cole Palmer keeps his place in the Chelsea attack while Morgan Rogers will be looking to continue his fine start to life in West London. Joao Pedro is  ruled out so Danny Welbeck is recalled to lead the line up front.

As for Brentford, Kevin Schade will be a dangerman after scoring twice against Bournemouth last weekend. He supports Igor Thiago in attack while Mikkel Damsgaard starts in midfield.
