Arsenal reportedly remain in contact over a deal to sign Real Madrid forward Endrick, as per TEAMtalk.
The Gunners entered the summer transfer window with Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke as forward options.
However, despite selling Jesus, Trossard and Martinelli, Mikel Arteta’s side only purchased Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge this summer. Meaning, the Spanish boss currently has fewer attacking options than he had last term.
As a result, it appears Arsenal are considering reinforcing the frontline in January. Still, they have enjoyed a stellar start this season.
TEAMtalk claim that Arsenal are interested in signing Endrick and have been holding talks with the player’s representatives to persuade him to join in January.
The Brazilian’s future is currently uncertain at Real Madrid as he has struggled to find regular game time under Jose Mourinho this term. Still, Endrick believes he can become an important part of the Spanish giants’ long-term future, while Los Blancos don’t want to lose him permanently yet.
The report state that during the international break, Endrick’s representatives are set to hold talks with Real Madrid to understand the pathway for him to develop.
Endrick to Arsenal
If his situation doesn’t change at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu over the coming months, Endrick could leave in the upcoming winter transfer window.
TEAMtalk claim that Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Fulham all expressed their interest in signing the youngster in the summer transfer window.
With the player’s existing deal set to run until 2030, Real Madrid are in a strong position to demand a big fee to let him leave, with the forward valued at around £34m by Transfermarkt.
Endrick is a left-footed versatile forward as he is comfortable in the centre-forward and right-wing positions. He is quick, possesses powerful shots and is efficient in finishing off his chances.
Having struggled to find regular game time at Real Madrid last term, Endrick joined Olympique Lyonnais in January to play regularly and develop his career.
He showed glimpses of his qualities in Groupama Stadium. The South American is considered one of the best young forwards in the world and would be a shrewd acquisition for Arsenal should they purchase him.
