Manchester United plot January transfer for Borussia Dortmund star Serhou Guirassy

Manchester United’s lack of efficiency in front of goal has seen them add only one Premier League win to the board in the first five matchdays of the season, leaving Michael Carrick a lot to ponder upon over the international break.

Following a tough start to the campaign, the Red Devils are now expected to continue rebuilding their squad in January with an offensive addition likely to be among their top priorities for the winter.

Graeme Bailey has reported on that note that Man United are considering the acquisition of Borussia Dortmund forward Serhou Guirassy, who has begun the ongoing season where he left off in the previous one.

In all competitions so far in the campaign, the 30-year-old has bagged four goals and two assists already. He is undoubtedly Dortmund’s best and most important player but could be open to the opportunity of joining a Premier League club next year.

Guirassy a brilliant buy for Man United

Serhou Guirassy would be a solid addition to the Manchester United squad. With Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee offering very little threat in the box, the Guinean international’s acquisition would be a very welcome addition to the club.

Guirassy has an imposing presence in the box. His ability to hold off defenders, win aerial battles in front of goal and finish powerfully and effectively are attributes that make him one of the world’s best strikers.

Thanks to his strong physique and decision-making, Guirassy is also able to create chances for his teammates and could help get the best out of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha if he joins Manchester United.

Considering Borussia Dortmund are always a title contender in the Bundesliga, a January swoop for Guirassy might be a tall order but there may be a strong chance that he wants to pursue a challenge in the Premier League next summer.

On Transfermarkt, Guirassy is valued at £27 million but it will be interesting to see how much Dortmund seek for his sale.
