Liverpool have spent lucrative sums of money on signing offensive names such as Alexander Isak, Bradley Barcola, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike in recent years, and that trend could well continue heading into 2027.

Fichajes has reported that the Reds are considering a swoop on Real Madrid for Kylian Mbappe, and would be willing to spend £212 million on the 27-year-old’s services next year as they look to bolster their squad.

According to Francois Gallardo, Mbappe is prepared to leave Madrid next summer having been left frustrated by their sporting project and a lack of success in the last couple of years. The France captain is open to joining a Premier League side next.

Very recently, Mbappe mentioned about his admiration for Liverpool and revealed discussing in private with Jurgen Klopp over a prospective switch to Anfield some years ago. Whether or not that comes to fruition next summer will be interesting to see.

Mbappe move a strong possibility next year

In claiming that Kylian Mbappe is prepared to leave Real Madrid next summer, Francois Gallardo has added that the Whites are unlikely to stand in the former Paris Saint-Germain star’s way and that is far from a surprise.

Since signing Mbappe, Madrid themselves have been far from their best. With the Frenchman failing to adapt as a striker and Vinicius already present on the left wing for Los Blancos having signed a new deal, Mbappe’s sale may fund a new number nine.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will feel that they have a solid opportunity to sign a player who can consistently score over 40 goals per season and has extensive experience in the Champions League, and enough skill to adapt to the Premier League.

Kylian Mbappe’s and Real Madrid’s next few months could be crucial in determining his future and if Los Blancos fail to win a piece of valuable silverware yet again this season, one of Europe’s most blockbuster transfers may be on the cards next summer.
