Liverpool & Arsenal retain an interest in Michael Olise

Liverpool and Arsenal reportedly retain an interest in signing Bayern Munich forward Michael Olise, as per TEAMtalk.
Following Mohamed Salah’s departure as a free agent, the Reds decided to reinforce the frontline by purchasing Victor Muñoz and Bradley Barcola this summer.
Moreover, Andoni Iraola currently has Rio Ngumoha, Federico Chiesa and Cody Gakpo as winger options. However, none of them are left-footed right-wingers like Salah.
On the other hand, Chiesa has struggled to find his feet in the Premier League since joining from Juventus, while Ngumoha is still very young and needs time to develop.
So, Liverpool could do with signing a new right-winger. TEAMtalk claim that Liverpool retain an interest in Olise and could make a move in the future.
Apart from the Merseyside club, Arsenal and Manchester City are also in this race. Moreover, Paris Saint-Germain have expressed their interest in him.
However, Olise has no intention of returning to England and is likely to move to Spain if he leaves the Allianz Arena, with Real Madrid and Barcelona showing interest in signing him.

The report state that Bayern Munich are planning to keep hold of him by tying him down to a fresh long-term contract. They consider the Frenchman one of the best forwards in the world; as a result, they are prepared to make him one of the club’s highest-paid players.
Olise is a left-footed right-winger by trait but is also comfortable in the CAM role. He is technically sound, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, and is efficient in finishing off his chances.
Arsenal currently have Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke as right-wing options; moreover, Max Dowman is emerging. So, Mikel Arteta doesn’t need to invest more to add further depth to this position unless anyone leaves.
Nevertheless, Olise, valued at around £152m by Transfermarkt, has proven his worth for club and country in recent years and would be a great coup for Arsenal or Liverpool should either club purchase him.
It is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club or the Merseyside club eventually make a concrete approach to secure his services next year.
