Man Utd urged to sign Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane

Former striker turned pundit Dion Dublin has urged Manchester United to sign Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane.
After being impressed by the Englishman’s performances for Tottenham Hotspur, the Bavarian club decided to purchase him in 2023. He has enjoyed great success at the Allianz Arena in recent years, winning two Bundesliga titles and a few domestic cup competitions.
Last season, Kane showcased his goal-scoring prowess, scoring a staggering 61 goals and registering seven assists in 51 appearances across all competitions.
This campaign, the striker has continued to display impressive performances, scoring six goals and registering two assists in seven appearances in all tournaments.
Alongside showcasing his productivity in club football, Kane has proven his qualities on the international stage with England. He is currently the leading goal scorer of the Three Lions.
Now, during a recent interview, Dublin says (via Metro) that although Kane is set to turn 34 next year, he can still perform at his best for a few more years. So, Man Utd should sign him to reinforce the frontline, even if Bayern Munich demand up to £80m.
Dublin said:
“Even at 33, 34, 35, I’d still nick Harry for a year or two because he just finds his way into good positions. He’s a very clever footballer. I would take Harry Kane right now at Man Utd. There’s a bit of a statement in this, Harry Kane could start in any Premier League side.
“United have toyed with it, they’ve spoken about it too much. If you want him, go get him. Even if he signs a new deal there, give them the 70 or 80 million, whatever they want, because you’ve got to get goals.”
Man Utd urged to sign Kane
Man Utd currently have Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee as specialist striker options. However, Sesko has continued to struggle with fitness problems, while Zirkzee has found it difficult to adapt to the Premier League’s physicality since joining from Bologna.
Matheus Cunha, Marcus Rashford and Bryan Mbeumo can provide cover in this position if needed, but they are more comfortable on the flank.
Therefore, Man Utd could do with signing a new striker. Kane is one of the best forwards in the world and would be a shrewd acquisition for Man Utd should they purchase him.
However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the Old Trafford club eventually make a concrete approach to secure his services in January or next summer.
