Manchester United keen on signing Atletico Madrid star Giuliano Simeone

Manchester United have made a very underwhelming start to the Premier League season with only one win in their six outings so far. Their attack has underperformed with players not having clear roles, while the squad depth is also not up to standard.
According to Graeme Bailey, United are looking to resolve the issue by adding in another right winger in 2027 and have identified Atletico Madrid forward Giuliano Simeone as a prospective addition to their side.
Besides them, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on the Argentine’s addition. As per the journalist, the Manchester rivals already explored Simeone’s signing earlier this year but were rebuked by Atletico, for whom he is very crucial.
Simeone’s own father, Diego, is the Atletico coach, so there is a strong personal and professional relationship driving his stay at the club. Therefore, any offer from United would need to factor that in. He is valued at £35 million on Transfermarkt.
Brilliant possible signing for Man United
Despite Atletico Madrid doing well under Diego Simeone and Giuliano Simeone being a key performer, their lack of silverware could compel the 23-year-old to consider his future with the La Liga side if another season goes by without fruition.
He promises to be a terrific addition for Manchester United next year. Simeone’s movement off the ball, pace to beat his marker and success rate in one-on-one situations, is combined with fierce shooting and sound decision-making in the final third.
With that said, he contributes a great deal defensively too. His physicality, tackling and high-intensity pressing make him the complete package. Thanks to his strong attributes without the ball, the player is also very effective and handy at right back.
It will be interesting to see if Manchester United can compel Giuliano Simeone to consider his career at Atletico Madrid in favour of a switch to the Premier League next season, but it will not be easy to weather competition from Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in their attempts to do so.
