[Teams] Arsenal vs Lille: Confirmed line-ups for Champions League clash

Arsenal return to Champions League action as they welcome Ligue 1 outfit Lille to the Emirates Stadium tonight.

The Gunners were losing finalists in the Champions League last season – losing on penalties after drawing 1-1 with Paris Saint-Germain. Mikel Arteta has called on his players to use that pain as fuel to finally win the competition this season.

The Spanish boss has made five changes from the side that came from behind to beat Leeds United 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday. David Raya is among those who keep their places but Ben White drops to the bench with Jurrien Timber recalled at right-back.

Arsenal were dealt a blow after Piero Hincapie picked up an ankle injury during the warm down after the Leeds game at the weekend. With Riccardo Calafiori rested, Myles Lewis-Skelly drops to left-back.

Ezri Konsa continues alongside Gabriel Magalhaes in the middle of defence in the continued absence of William Saliba. Cristhian Mosquera is on the bench along with Mari Salmon.

Declan Rice starts in midfield while Bruno Guimaraes is rewarded with a start after coming off the bench to score a vital winner at the weekend. Mikel Merino is also recalled so Martin Odegaard drops to the subs bench.

Bukayo Saka wasn’t at his best on Saturday and he’s given a breather this evening. Christian Tzolis remains out with a hamstring injury so Eberechi Eze comes in to the attack with Noni Madueke moving to the right wing in place of Saka.

Viktor Gyokeres is recalled to lead the line up front and he’ll be hoping to showcase some form after scoring four goals in three games for Sweden during the international break. Kai Havertz drops to the bench.
