Arsenal are in Germany to take on the mighty Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena in the Champions League this evening.
The Gunners kicked off their 2026/27 European adventure with a routine 3-0 win over Lille at the Emirates Stadium last week so they’ll be looking to make it two wins from two games.
Arsenal have also made a promising start to their Premier League title defence and made it 18 points from seven games with a 1-0 win away to Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.
Mikel Arteta has stuck with the majority of the side that started at the City Ground with just two changes this evening. David Raya keeps his place in goal once again while Ezri Konsa continues alongside Gabriel Magalhaes in the middle of defence in the continued absence of William Saliba.
Piero Hincapie is also still out so Riccardo Calafiori continues at left-back tonight but there is a change on the opposite side of defence with Jurrien Timber replacing Ben White at right-back.
Declan Rice and Bruno Guimaraes continue to build on their partnership in midfield so Myles Lewis-Skelly and Martin Zubimendi have to make do with places on the substitutes bench tonight.
Martin Odegaard captains Arsenal once again while Bukayo Saka keeps his place on the right flank despite a poor showing at Forest last time out. Max Dowman and Mikel Merino are named among the subs.
Noni Madueke scored the winner at Forest and he’s recalled to start tonight with Eberechi Eze making way. Kai Havertz keeps his place up front so Viktor Gyokeres remains on the bench.
As for Bayern, they’re without Joshua Kimmich due to personal reasons, Michael Olise is suspended while Luis Diaz is named on the bench. Harry Kane leads the line up front for the German champions.
