Arsenal now eyeing move for Brighton forward Charalampos Kostoulas

Arsenal are keeping tabs on Brighton & Hove Albion centre-forward Charalampos Kostoulas ahead of a possible move, according to Football Insider.
The 19-year-old rose to prominence while on the books of 48-time Greek champions Olympiacos, where he came through the ranks. He notably broke Kyriakos Papadopoulos’s record as the youngest player in Olympiacos history to play a professional game, making his Super League Greece 2 debut in January 2023 at just 15.
He made his Greek Super League debut the following year and netted his first goal for the club on November 10, 2024, scoring a header in a 3–2 derby win over PAOK to become the club’s second-youngest goalscorer at 17 years, 05 months and 11 days.
The youngster went on to make 35 total appearances for the Thrylos before signing for Brighton in the summer of 2025.
Despite arriving with a lot of promise, Kostoulas made only two starts last season and largely played second fiddle to Danny Welbeck, who left to join Chelsea in the summer.
This season, however, the centre-forward has been in terrific form, providing nine goal contributions in ten games across all competitions, with six in the Premier League, sparking interest from several clubs.
Among the clubs eyeing a move for Kostoulas, Football Insider claims that Arsenal are closely monitoring the 6ft 1in hitman ahead of a possible swoop to the Emirates Stadium.
‘World-class’ attacker
In recent transfer windows, the Gunners have looked to bolster their attack, as both Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz will need a successor in the future, and Kostoulas is now being eyed, according to the report.
Adding more detail, former Everton, Aston Villa and Tottenham scout Bryan King told Football Insider that Arsenal have assessed the six-cap Greek international, who could be another significant sale from Brighton.
He said, ‘It could be another big money move, and more pound notes in the pot for Brighton. I’m sure Arsenal have already looked at him.
‘From what I’m told, they’re looking at him on the games he plays now. It’s going to be very, very interesting to see how his future pans out.’
Kostoulas is in his second full season with Brighton and has already earned high praise, with former Arsenal and Premier League legend Martin Keown describing him as ‘world-class’.
As with their other key players in recent seasons, the Seagulls will likely demand a sizeable fee well above his current £33m Transfermarkt valuation amid interest from Arsenal, especially with four years left on his contract.
