Arsenal and Man Utd in race to sign Nicolo Tresoldi

According to Football Insider, Arsenal and Manchester United are in the running to sign Club Brugge striker Nicolo Tresoldi.
The 22-year-old signed for Brugge from Hannover in the summer of 2025, and had a superb debut season with 23 goals and 9 assists in 58 appearances in all competitions.
There was plenty of transfer interest in him during last summer’s transfer window, but the Belgian giants chose to keep him, having already sold Christos Tzolis to the Gunners.
Tresoldi has since been in fantastic form at club level with 12 goals in just 14 goals this campaign, and this has increased the interest in signing him from elite European sides.
Arsenal and Man United are among firm admirers of the Germany youth international, but they may have to wait until next summer with Brugge having no desire to sell him mid-season.
Huge talent
Tresoldi has made steady progress at the Pro League champions. He has been in splendid touch this term and recently made the headlines with a Champions League hat-trick against Inter Milan.
The Germany youth international has also excelled with several other attributes. He has won an average of almost 3 aerial duels per game in the Champions League and has impressed with his link-up play too.
He still has room for improvement in the physical aspect of his game, but the early signs are that he could develop into an elite striker capable of scoring regular goals in one of Europe’s top-five leagues.
Arsenal should have good knowledge about his progress, having signed his teammate and winger Tzolis last summer, They could well return for Tresoldi, who was valued at £42 million by Brugge last summer.
No club seemed willing to make such a huge outlay at the time, but things could change quickly if he keeps on scoring goals.
The Gunners may see him as a possible replacement for Viktor Gyokeres, whose future has been questioned many times. He could have headed for the exit door last summer if Arsenal signed a new marksman.
United can’t be counted out either. They are still yearning for a top-class striker to compete with Benjamin Sesko (currently injured), and could be prepared to part ways with Joshua Zirkzee to land Tresoldi.
