Predicted Liverpool line-up against Arsenal

Liverpool are set to welcome Arsenal at Anfield in a blockbuster Premier League fixture on Sunday afternoon.
After displaying poor performances under Arne Slot last term, the Red Devils decided to appoint Andoni Iraola as the new manager this summer. They showed inconsistency at the start of this season but have been displaying promising performances in recent weeks, winning their last five consecutive matches.
The Merseyside club have accumulated 15 points from eight matches in the league. They are third in the Champions League table, having won all three matches. Liverpool have even reached the Carabao Cup quarterfinals after defeating Chelsea on penalties in midweek.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are currently second in the league with 21 points from eight matches. However, they will be coming into this game off the back of a disappointing defeat against Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup.
Team news
Giovanni Leoni, Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike remain sidelined due to their respective long-term injury problems. Moreover, Jeremie Frimpong isn’t available for selection owing to an injury.
On the other hand, Victor Munoz and Dominik Szoboszlai have been out injured since picking up an issue against Brentford. However, there is a chance that they might be ready enough to be involved this weekend.
Predicted line-up
Iraola made a few changes to his starting line-up in midweek to give his star players a breather ahead of this important fixture, and they are likely to return. So, Alisson Becker is set to be in goal ahead of Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Jeremy Jacquet is expected to be paired up with Virgil van Dijk in the centre-back position for Liverpool, while Ronald Araujo and Milos Kerkez might be the two fullbacks. Therefore, Joe Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas would be among the substitutes.
Ryan Gravenberch should be the defensive midfielder, and Alexis Mac Allister might be in the box-to-box role, with Florian Wirtz in the creative midfield position. So, Trey Nyoni would have to settle for a place on the bench.
Bradley Barcola could start on the left flank, and Cody Gakpo might be on the opposite side. Alexander Isak should be leading the line for the Reds; therefore, Rio Ngumoha may feature as a substitute if needed.
Expected Liverpool line-up vs Arsenal
Alisson; Araujo, Jacquet, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Wirtz; Barcola, Isak, Gakpo
