Man Utd eye move to sign Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy, as per TEAMtalk.
The 30-year-old came into the spotlight having showcased his productivity for Stuttgart during the 2023/24 campaign, making 33 goal contributions across all competitions.
After being impressed by him, BVB decided to purchase him a couple of years ago, and he has continued to display his goal-scoring prowess in recent seasons.
During his debut campaign at Signal Iduna Park, Guirassy scored 38 goals and registered six assists in 50 appearances in all tournaments. Last season, he tallied 26 goals and assists.
The striker has even enjoyed a promising start this campaign, scoring eight goals and notching up two assists in 13 appearances in all tournaments. He has even been guiding his side to a title charge in the Bundesliga.
Now, TEAMtalk state that Man Utd hold a long-standing interest in the Guinea international and sent scouts to watch him in action closely for Dortmund against Bayern Munich last weekend.
Apart from Guirassy, Man Utd were also keeping a close eye on Felix Nmecha, Jobe Bellingham and Daniel Svensson in this game, where Dortmund managed to come away with a 2-2 draw.
Guirassy to Man Utd
The report state that Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur’s scouts were also present at the Allianz Arena last weekend.
With Guirassy, valued at around £27m by Transfermarkt, still having a contract until 2028, Dortmund are in a strong position to demand a sizable amount of money if they are forced to cash-in next year.
Man Utd currently have Benjamin Sesko and Joshua Zirkzee as striker options, but the former RB Leipzig forward has struggled with fitness problems in recent months.
On the other hand, the Dutchman has failed to find his feet in the Premier League since joining from Bologna a couple of years ago. So, United could do with signing a new striker.
Guirassy has proven his worth at the highest level and is currently at the prime stage of his career. Therefore, he might be a shrewd acquisition for Man Utd should they eventually manage to secure his services in January or next summer.
