Arsenal Transfer News: Arsenal Target N’Zogbia & United Hijack Gunners Deal?

By on June 6, 2011

Usually, there is lots of transfer news and rumors surrounding the Gunners. Today, though, it’s been surprisingly quiet, but there is still news, so without further ado…. here is the Arsenal Transfer News Roundup.

Arsenal interested in N’Zogbia

N’Zogbia…. interesting Arsenal yet again

Well, this isn’t really much of a surprise as the Gunners have long been linked with this player, so it was bound pop up again. Arsenal are one of the many teams, who are showing interest in Wigan Atheltic’s star winger, 25 year old Frenchman Charles N’Zogbia. Reports vary on his price from 10-15 million pounds. Transfermarkt.co.uk value him at around 8 million pounds, which is a fair value in my opinion. N’Zogbia is a good player with pace, skill, and a good crosser, so I believe that he’d do well with Arsenal, if Wenger does sign him. There are certainly better players in his position, but I believe he could be a smart, shrewed signing.

Here’s a well written blog post concerning the interest:

Here are two videos, displaying his talents:

Manchester United interested in hijacking Arsenal’s bid for Ricardo Alvarez

This is certainly interesting news, as reports are claiming that Manchester United are going to have a go at bidding for Velez Sarsfield’s Alvarez. It looks like it’s so far pure speculation, but I won’t be surprised if it’s true as Manchester United have a history of getting in the way of potential Arsenal deals, with examples like Cristiano Ronaldo, Chris Smalling, Aaron Ramsey, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain etc. From what I’ve seen from him, Alvarez looks like he’s a talented and quality player, and if Manchester United are interested in him, then Wenger should seal this deal, just imagine if he could’ve acquired Cristiano Ronaldo and Chris Smalling?

Here’s a link to an article concerning this headline:

What do you think? Should Wenger go for N’Zogbia? Should he seal the deal for Alvarez? Please share your opinions and thoughts.

Cheers and take care,

Yes to Nzogbia, he is a 90 minute man with a big heart. He will not flag and sulk like so many of our foreign players. I just hope Arsene goes big for Jones, Alveraz, Cahill/Hangerland and Oxlade Chamberlain.

N’Zogbia is a good player who’s talented and is a great set piece taker, he could be a good signing for the Gunners, especially if Nasri leaves. Those are all good options that you provided, let’s hope that Wenger finally buys proven players.

      Cheers and take care,

Don’t worry about it my friend there mocking us all over the world. It’s the newspapers that do it by winding us all up. Ignore them as Brian Ckough used to say “Football is a beautiful game and should be played beautifully” I’d rather have won nothing and watched the amazing football we play than by diving all over the shop (Evra) and bullying the ref (Scholes, Giggs) like those pricks from Manchester

Arsen should not let samir nasir go,instead he should think of signing play-makers such as N’Zogbia,Alveraz and Jones who are not easily prone to injures and can comfortably hold until the last 90th minute.we just cant keep on crying and mourning over this issues of trophy drought, last season one of my friend committed suicide because trophy drought.

I tink it wil be a good buy for wenger and Arsenal as a home but there so many speculation dis time around Arsenal. Wenger should act fast on any young player cos dey might turn out to be great player tomorrow. Wenger should go for switzland player Bernetta and Grecce player Giannis dat worn 23shirt in a game Grecce vs Malta

Thank you for all commenting…. N’Zogbia, in my opinion is a good player, but I don’t think he’s good enough to replace Nasri. I really do hope Nasri stays, he’s a key player, but he shouldn’t be holding the club to ransom. There is no player bigger than the club.

    Cheers and take care everyone,

    Omar

N’zogbia would be a good addition to the club. But if we buy him lansbury wil not have his chance to prove himself and lansbury is a promising player and i would love to see him in d senior team next season
